The Caribana Festival in Crans-près-Céligny, started in 1990 as an opportunity for people in Switzerland to enjoy live music at the shores of Lake Geneva. The event has grown over years and changed from a free small local festival to an international event with 35,000 visitors.
Caribana lasts for five days (Wednesday to Sunday) and offers a variety of artists. It is not, as its name suggests, an event devoted to Caribbean music.
Location: Crans-près-Céligny (Switzerland) 20 minutes away from Geneva and close to the town of Nyon.
